Microfiche is a long-running collective of six of Australia's most creative, experimental and awarded composer-improvisers. Microfiche emerges from a lineage of Australian improvised acts as diverse as The Necks, Simon Barker and The Australian Art Orchestra. Unbound by style and featuring a unique lineup, Microfiche have forged a distinctive and celebrated approach all their own.

Microfiche have created music with each other for nearly a decade; with trust, exploration and a deep musical telepathy at the heart of the band.  Reflecting the diverse backgrounds of its members; the group folds together beautifully composed and orchestrated compositions, meditative soundscapes, electronics and timbral explorations; with post-rock arcs, and energetic free-jazz eruptions.
This is music with a vanguard spirit.
